- Red fraction circles in green frames (ten circles: 1 is undivided and the others are divided into 2 -10 equal parts.
 - Label with fractions written on them: 1, 1/2, 1/2, 1/3
 - Pencil and paper
 - Skittles
 
Preparation
This is an individual presentation.
Presentation
- Have the child bring over the two trays of fractions.
 - Write a multiplication equation on the paper: 2/8 x 3 =
 - Directress tells the child, “We will take 2/8 four times”.
 - Take 2/10 one time, two times, three times and four times.
 - Push them all together and have the child count the total number of 10ths. (8)
 - Show the child how to write the answer.
