Materials

Box of tissue paper.
Dustbin.

Preparation

This can be done as a group presentation.

Presentation

Directress gathers the children together in a circle. Place the box of tissue paper on a table and have a dustbin nearby. Tells the children, 'Today, I am going to show you how to blow your nose'. Tell them that sometimes the weather is cold, and we get runny nose and so we have to keep it clean.
Directress shows the child how to pull the tissue out of the tissue box by pulling just the tip of the piece jutting out of the box. Fold the tissue paper into a quarter. Cover one nostril with the tissue paper with the index finger on it. Blow your nose. Wipe with the thumb holding the tissue paper. Fold the tissue paper and dab the front part of the nose with the tissue paper. Then throw the tissue paper into the dustbin. Remind the children that they must throw the dirty tissue paper into the dustbin themselves.
