Wrapping a Present

Materials
- A basket.
- Scissors.
- Tape.
- Fabric ribbon.
- Small sheets of wrapping paper.
- Tray with a variety of small boxes or small interesting items to be wrapped.
Preparation
Individual or group presentation.
Presentation
- Introduce the activity.
- Select an item from the tray to be wrapped.
- Carry the basket to the table.
- Take each item out of the basket and place them on the table.
- Place a piece of wrapping paper on the table and center the item to be wrap on top.
- Show the child how to measure if the wrapping paper is a suitable size for the item.
- If required, cut the paper to fit the size of the item.
- Wrap the item, securing with the tape when needed.
- Tie the ribbon around the item, centering the bow.
- Ask the child to replace all the materials into the basket.
- Invite the child to repeat the activity and return the basket to the shelf when he is finished.
